The Waterfront Bar and Grill has the city's oldest existing liquor license and is generally recognized as the oldest bar in the San Diego - it's actually the second behind Tivoli Bar in the Gaslamp District. It was opened right after prohibition ended in 1933, so it's got some history. It' also one of the most welcoming dives we've ever been in. The people - both the customers and staff - are friendly, the prices and selection are both great, and the food is good and quality. Plus, it sits about 2 blocks from the marina about a mile from the Seaport Village so you'll have other things to do when you visit. Music by incompetech.com. Rapper Wiz Khalifa (real name Cameron Thomaz) was arrested Sunday morning after being stopped by a TSA officer at the El Paso International Airport, E! News has confirmed. "The TSA Officer learned that Thomaz did not have any identification which led to him being sent for secondary screening," El Paso Chief of Police Gregory K. Allen said in a statement. "During that screening the TSA Officer located a metal container inside of the backpack which contained a prohibited item." The "prohibited item" was later confirmed to be 0.5 grams of weed. Khalifa doesn't seem to be too concerned with his arrest. Instead of sweating his jail cell, the "Black and Yellow" rapper posted a pic on Twitter he appropriately titled "Jail selfie." ►Circle us on Google + http://goo.gl/yZhhhc ►Subscribe Channel htt...
Talk about a most wanted man! As you or may not know, Wiz Khalifa was arrested back in May for attempting to sneak weed onto a plane at the El Paso Airport! Trying to get a mile high while a mile high is not necessarily the definition of joining the Mile High club, Wiz! Well, he just failed to show up to court! In an act surprising no one, the judge issued a warrant for his arrest! Wiz actually tweeted a selfie from inside the jailhouse in El Paso, an act of photographic defiance that has led to an investigation on the nature of security in the slammer!
Like much of rural America, Dell City, Texas, just 70 miles east of El Paso, has been in a long, slow decline. A once thriving farm and ranch town with a population of several thousand, and an important water hub for the region, Dell City is down to a few hundred stubborn souls committed to life in what was once their desert oasis. In his lapidary style, Producer-Director Josh Carter, who grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Princeton University, catches Dell City on its way down, but not out. Carter documents the downward spiral with an ingenious and generous approach by asking long-time residents what they would do if they were to make a movie about the town. Carter then produces the short films that they write and direct. Surprising and heartfelt, these films reveal u...

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl
Nighttime would find me in Rosa's Cantina
Music would play and Felina would whirl
Blacker than night where the eyes of Felina
Wicked and evil while casting a spell
My love was strong for this Mexican maiden
I was in love, but in vain I could tell
One night a wild young cowboy came in
Wild as the West Texas wind
Dashing and daring, a drink he was sharing
With wicked Felina, the girl that I loved
So in anger I challenged his right for the love of this maiden
Down went his hand for the gun that he wore
My challenge was answered, in less than a heartbeat
The handsome young stranger lay dead on the floor
Just for a moment I stood there in silence
Shocked by the foul evil deed I had done
Many thoughts ran through my mind as I stood there
I had but one chance and that was to run
Out through the back door of Rose's I ran
Out where the horses were tied
I caught a good one, it looked like it could run
Up on his back and away I did ride
Just as fast as I could from the West Texas town of El Paso
Out thru the badlands of New Mexico
Back in El Paso, my life would be worthless
Everything's gone in life nothing is left
It's been so long since I've seen the young maiden
My love is stronger than my fear of death
I saddled up and away I did go
Riding alone in the dark
Maybe tomorrow a bullet may find me
Tonight nothing's worse than this pain in my heart
And at last here I am on the hill overlooking El Paso
I can see Rose's Cantina below
My love is strong and it pushes me onward
Down off the hill to Felina I go
Off to my right I see five mounted cowboys
Off to my left ride a dozen or more
shouting and shooting, I can't let them catch me
I've got to make it to Rose's back door
Something is dreadfully wrong for, I feel
A deep burning pain in my side
Something is dreadfully wrong, for I feel
A deep burning pain in my side
Although I am trying to stay in the saddle
I'm getting weary, unable to ride
It's getting harder to stay in the saddle
I'm getting weary, unable to ride
But my love for Felina is strong and I rise where I've fallen
Though I am weary, I can't stop to rest
I see the white puff of smoke from the rifle
I feel the bullet go deep in my chest
From out of nowhere, Felina has found me
Kissing my cheek as she kneels by my side
Cradled by two loving arms that I'll die for
